Who are the Thunder Bros.?

Hi! I’m Gabriel. My friends call me Gabe. I’m 11 years old and in the 5th grade. I collect gems and rocks and baseball cards. I love to play baseball, too. I’m currently a Webelos in the Cub Scouts. My favorite thing in the world to do is look for sea creatures in tide pools. I really want to learn how to play the guitar! My dad is teaching me to fly-fish, but I’m really good at reel casting and can catch just about anything that swims.

Hello. My name is Elias. I’m 8. I’m in the 2nd grade. My favorite subject in school is science. I like to play golf, baseball and dodge ball. I LOVE rock-climbing and fishing. I love pizza and pineapple. Not together, though! My favorite color is blue. I like to watch movies with my family and to read books, especially action stories. On rainy days, I like to play Gamecube and DS with Gabe.

I’m Julian and I’m 2 years old. My favorite thing to do is talk. I talk from the time I wake up in the morning until the time I go to sleep at night. Sometimes I even talk in a really loud voice which I guess is called ‘yelling”. Apparently, that’s not a good thing since my mom, dad and brothers keep telling me to stop yelling. I also like to do anything my big brothers are doing, especially climbing up really big stuff and jumping off.

How we got our name:

Thorsted, our last name, means “House of Thor”. In Norse mythology Thor was the god of Thunder. Our last name comes from our ancestors in Denmark on our dad’s dad’s (paternal grandparent) side of the family. So, to honor our grandparents George and Kathy Thorsted of Ogden, Utah we chose the name Thunder Bros.

Where in the World Are the Thunder Bros.?

Every month we will be holding a contest called, you guessed it, “Where in the world are the Thunder Brothers?”. We will show you a slideshow of us in a specific location with several more clues. The first person to email us the correct location will get a special mention on our website and a postcard from our current location. Please ask an adult before you enter our contest. Thunder Bros. Special Assignment!

Got a project you’re working on in school? Have a special interest in something? Let us be your eyes and ears. For example, say you just can’t get enough of the Grand Canyon. Send us your questions (e.g. What does it feel like to stand at the edge and look down?) We’ll do our best to answer them when we get to that destination.
